Brainpop is a tool that offers educational cartoon movies starring two cute characters, Tim and Moby, which can be used by Primary and Secondary students, or teachers of the respective academic levels.
No film lasts more than 5 minutes, but the didactic quality of the content they offer is very high and also increases as each video comes accompanied by an interactive questionnaire with which you can check the level of understanding of the matter explained.
On the site we can find educational films for the areas of Natural Sciences, Social Sciences, Mathematics, Health, Technology, Art and Music and English that are very useful for students and teachers of all Compulsory Education. In addition, it has a search tool for topics by subject and school level.
BrainPOP is designed to work seamlessly with PC, Mac, and Linux platforms, and with interactive whiteboards, projectors, and displays. To view the films, it is not necessary to download or install anything, you simply have to subscribe to the web or view the free content online.
It was designed by Dr. Avraham Kadar, an immunologist and pediatrician, as a creative way to explain complex concepts to his young patients. Today it is visited by more than 5 million people a month, coming from thousands of schools around the world and is available in Spanish and English.
In the free zone we have around 100 educational films that we can use to help children clarify concepts studied at home or if we are teachers to introduce new topics, explain difficult concepts and review before an exam in the ordinary classroom.
