Facebook also abandons BlackBerry

After reporting that WhatsApp will no longer be available on BlackBerry devices, it is now Facebook who communicates the same with your application.

At the end of this year Facebook will stop supporting the social network app for BlackBerry, and the company from Canada has already expressed disappointment. Lou Gazzola, director of marketing in relations with developers of BlackBerry, who has seen how Whatsapp and Facebook leave their universe, has communicated:

We are extremely disappointed with this decision, as we know that many users love those applications. We have fought against that, working with WhatsApp and Facebook to change their decision, but so far it remains.

Facebook will also close the development kit for BlackBerry 10 and BBOS, so if you play a Blackberry mobile you can only access Facebook from the browser. On the other hand, applications that use the Facebook login as a gateway will also have to find a better solution, as indicated in g1 (although this login system may not be as affected).

Blackberry is not going through its best moment, in fact they have already opted for Android as the operating system in their latest mobile phones, so it does not make much sense that they continue to insist on something that already has an expiration date …
