Line, call and messaging app, launches light version that uses less data and space

Line, the popular free voice and video calling app, plus a valuable instant messenger option packed with emoticons and stickers, has just launched LineLite, a lightweight version of its Android application that comes to use less space, data and other technical resources.

A serious drawback of the enriched Line service and one of the main details that leaves it at a disadvantage compared to the competition starting with WhatsApp- is that it takes up a lot of space on mobile phones and its bundle of features uses quite a few resources of the device it is installed on.

As well, Line Lite becomes a light alternative, barely 1 Mb is its weight – for those who have mobile phones with modest technical characteristics or they are located in regions with not very developed mobile network infrastructure but that want to have this attractive communication application.

Texts, stickers and being able to share photos are the functions that are guaranteed in this first version of Line Lite who arrives to work, initially, in 11 countries: Algeria, Cambodia, Colombia, Egypt, India, Mexico, Pakistan, Philippines, Saudi Arabia, Koreay Vietnam. Audio and video calls as well as its compatibility with other regions is pending for future releases.
