Microsoft Releases Reporting and Activity Logging Capabilities for Office 365

With the transfer of activity in the cloud by many companies, where employees access stored data through multiple devices, it is necessary to have the tools that allow companies to have control of everything that happens with your data, both at the access level and at the level of actions that have been carried out with them.

In this sense, as part of the continuous effort that Microsoft is making to improve security in Office 365, today it has just launched its new activity logging and reporting capabilities.

Microsoft points out that with the activity report in Office 365, companies will be able to investigate the activities of the same user by searching for the same user, files or any other resource through SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, Exchange Online and Azure Active Directory, being able to later transfer said activities to a CSV file. In addition, it is possible to filter by periods, users, file / folder and type of activity.

From Microsoft they are willing that in the future, the aforementioned capabilities can be expanded to other company services, such as Yammer and Skype for Business. New activity logging and reporting capabilities for Office 365 also include the Office 365 Activity Reporting, Comprehensive Logging Capability, PowerShell (or cmdlet) command, and Activity Management API Preview for Office 365.
