Testing Jumo, the social network for those who want to change the world

A few weeks ago I introduced you Jumo (www.jumo.com), a social network created by the co-founder of Facebook and that allows us to keep up to date on the activities of organizations that work to improve the living conditions of our planet.

Founded by Chris Hughes, co-founder of Facebook and director of marketing for Obama’s 2008 campaign (which is why he left Facebook in 2007), it offers the possibility to follow whatever cause we want, as well as to become our page administrators. organization.

After some time using it, I am already in a position to tell you what we can find in it.During the registration we can indicate the companies or organizations that are of interest to us, classified by Health, education, Art and Culture, environment, human rights, peace and poverty, and indicating our interest in each of the categories.

Once our interests have been registered, we can include some of the entities already registered to be able to follow them from our profile. The main page of the network is made up of the contents published by those responsible for each organization, with the possibility of filtering according to relevance or date. We can add texts, links or complete articles, both on our profile and on the page of a project, with the option, of course, to publish it on Facebook. The site makes it easy for us to discover new interesting projects, related to our concerns, as well as to search for organizers or problems in which we want to collaborate.
