Google Spotlight Stories

The 360º stories app «Google Spotlight Stories» is now available for iOS

For some time, Google has experimented with the use of mobile devices to tell stories taking advantage of 360 video technology. In fact, in autumn 2013 the company launched Google Spotlight Stories for Android, an app with which to reproduce Animated stories taking advantage of the possibilities of this technology. Finally, the application is already available for users of iOS devices.

As Google indicates in the description of the application in the App Store, with Google Spotlight Stories the screen of our smartphone becomes a kind of window to the story we are seeing. To achieve this, Google offers a series of 360 stories in which it is possible to look where we want or follow a specific character. Thus, By being able to look in any direction we are not limited to the point of view of the camera and every time we reproduce a certain story, it is something different. All this is possible since the application makes use of elements such as the accelerometer or the gyroscope of our terminal. It is important to note that this is not a virtual reality experience, so no need for virtual reality glasses like the Oculus Rift or Google Cardboard.

Without a doubt, it is an excellent way to immerse yourself in a movie and explore everything around you. You can download Google Spotlight Stories for iOS devices completely free through the App Store. As for the Android version, it is available through the following link.
